Nestled in the Lanwades Park, Lanwades hall is a quaint manor house, which is home to the Animal Health Trust. All funds raised from weddings at Lanwades Hall go straight back to the charity too, so as well as having an incredible wedding venue, you'll be doing something great for charity too! It truly is a beautiful wedding venue. All the charms of a majestic country manor with the intimacy and exclusivity to ensure your wedding guests don’t feel isolated or sparse.
The girls all got ready at the hall with hair and make up in a large lounge off the main reception room. The huge window gave us plenty of light to shoot with and the layout of the room meant that it never felt crowded.
The Boys were getting ready at the old vicarage just opposite the church which meant that they had more time to relax .....or get nervous... or get up to no good when Ian leaves the room...
As the bride arrived the sun beamed down through the clouds illuminating the vibrant stained glass.
Ian and Denise chose to have a traditional church ceremony in a nearby village. The church had the most beautiful wooden ceiling I have ever seen so I felt I had to include it in as many shots as possible.
After the reception it was onto Lanwades for a garden reception and drinks.
The traditional country backdrop gives a perfect setting for the guests to relax and mingle.
A bit later on it was time for speeches and with a combination of laughter and love for lost love ones it made for an emotional rollercoaster. The father of the groom played substitute for the grooms brother who, tragically passed away when they were younger gave one of the longest speeches I have ever witnessed. Despite the longevity, the delivery was flawless.
All in all a spectacular day with memories to match.
